Soprano Regina Kachkoff was born in Kishenev, the capital city of the Republic of Moldova of the former Soviet Union. She has lived in New York since her family's immigration to the United States at the age of 16 months. She has performed in numerous venues in the tri-state area, including Lyric Opera of New York, One World Symphony and New Jersey Opera Theater. Recently Ms. Kachkoff has been engaged with New Jersey Opera Theater's Summer Vocal Institute where she performed the role of Le Rossignol in Ravel's L'enfant et les Sortileges under the direction of David Grabarkewitz and the baton of Maestro Dan Saunders, covered the role of Miss Wordsworth in Britten's Albert Herring and sang in various concerts performing works by Rossini, Schumann and Berlioz among others. Ms. Kachkoff is currently performing again with the New Jersey Opera Theater in their ongoing school tours of their own abridged and interactive version of Mozart's The Magic Flute where she will be singing the roles of the Queen of The Night and Papagena throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Ms. Kachkoff earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from New York University. She currently studies with Ms. Joan Caplan with whom she has studied for the past three years. Ms. Kachkoff resides in New York City.
